How You'll Make an Impact:
- Act as point of contact on site for space planning, facilities requests, vendor management, facilities administration, invoice management, site inspections and service calls
- Ensure the operation of all building systems, life safety, security (locks, doors, hardware & camera), heating, ventilating, plumbing & electrical and emergency power (UPS, Generator)
- Oversee and arrange preventive maintenance on building equipment, HVAC and electrical systems including chillers, pumps, in row coolers, generator and UPS
- Comply with procedures for life safety, emergency response and fire safety plan
- Manage moves/additions/changes, and work to maximize utilization at each site
- Plan work assignments, perform duties with minimal direct supervision, and assist as a helper in the general maintenance and operation of the buildings
- Identify and correct unsafe working conditions with management oversight
- Perform all work in accordance with municipal/provincial/federal regulatory requirements
- Respond to afterhours emergencies, coordinate a back-up for vacation coverage
- Provide a full-time building operator
- Support 24/7 on-call site requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- +2 years of facility operations / maintenance of technical spaces, and office environments.
- Operational knowledge of building systems, building systems, fire suppression and alarm systems, building electrical systems.
- Operational knowledge of building systems is ideal
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to learn new software programs.
- Effective communication skills with co-workers, customers, contractors, vendors and management.
