Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, properly managing tools and equipment essential for daily operations, and executing additional tasks as assigned or required.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meticulously maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including thorough waste removal, washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping according to established protocols.
Experience with hotel room cleaning and bed setup is a must.
Strictly adhere to and implement established cleaning procedures without deviation.
Proficiently operate vacuum equipment and other cleaning machinery.
Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in optimal, safe, and efficient working condition.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills by effectively prioritizing and managing work assignments.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of directives and contribute effectively within a team environment.
Vigilantly identify and promptly report workplace hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in response to changes in work assignments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively engage in and contribute to educational programs and in-service training sessions.
Attend all required meetings with punctuality and preparedness.
Maintain availability for short-notice shift coverage, overtime, and on-call duties as necessitated by operational requirements.
Execute periodic cleaning tasks across multiple campus buildings with efficiency and thoroughness.
Complete assigned tasks to the highest professional standards and close work orders within the stipulated timeframe as per the response time policy.
Strictly comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and all related legislation.
Consistently represent the department with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by the supervisor or manager with diligence and competence.
Qualifications
We are looking for people with cleaning experience, either in the commercial or hotel/motel fields.
