The Senior Store Design Drafter will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans for retail store layouts, fixtures, and construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural drafting, construction detailing, and industry standards to support store development and renovations. The Senior Drafter will collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all drafting projects. This role ensures the seamless translation of creative visions into buildable solutions.

How you will support the team:

  • Creates store layout options supported by 2D and 3D drawings, including floor plans and elevation drawings for internal reviews and approvals.
  • Develops details and layouts that optimize customer flow and maximize merchandising opportunities.
  • Creates detailed construction documents ready for Architectural stamps.
  • Coordinates with external consultants and vendors on technical specifications and design intent.
  • Ensures all designs comply with safety, accessibility, and local building standards.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or related field
  • Proficiency in architectural drafting software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
  • 5+ years of experience in retail or commercial architecture
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
