Member of the National Management Team, the General Manager is responsible for the development of sales and operations within the specialized segments group. They maintain relationships with manufacturing suppliers in the heavy vehicle network. Additionally, they are responsible for the Heavy vehicle parts division (HVPD) customer experience and act as a driving force to generate sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
Your main responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Specialized Segments Division Sales Manager and senior management to ensure the planning and implementation of initiatives to increase specialized sales. Lead sales development initiatives and oversee the implementation of tools, sales processes, and sales development systems (including major client prospecting).
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and team members to provide each customer with an unparalleled experience.
- Build connections with the various divisions of Genuine Parts Company (GPC), as well as the different Canadian networks of UAP (NAPA and HV) to create business opportunities.
- Manage the establishment of the annual sales.
- Monitor the overall performance of the budget and sales performance indicators; identify opportunities for improvement and manage the implementation and follow-up of corrective measures.
- Collaborate on the digital marketing strategy in collaboration with digital and marketing team.
- Ensure the pricing strategy and profit management, supported by the pricing management team.
Qualifications
To join our team, you must, among other things:
- Have a diploma in a related field (an engineering degree is an asset).
- Have at least 10 years of experience in the distribution sector, specifically in sales and operations, including 5 years in a management position.
- Be bilingual in French and English, as you will frequently collaborate with internal clients across Canada.
