- Assists and provides support to management in the development and understanding of project driven business cases, develop financial models and processes to support growth, competitive bids, metrics of quality measures, and process control points
- Provide support to evaluate project feasibility, ROI, and risk assessment
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight trends impacting business performance
- Assist in the development and management of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including coordination with various departments
- Monitor budget adherence and provide regular updates to management
- Prepares account analysis and reconciliations for month end closing activity in an effective way to meet company objectives
- Continual development of financial models and processes to improve business processes and regulatory reporting
- Support the Finance team as needed, to research, develop, and document technical accounting memos
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making across departments
- Extract and organize financial data to meet reporting requirements for standard reports and for any ad-hoc report requests
- Participate in financial due diligence processes for potential M&A opportunities
- Analyze financial statements of target companies and support integration planning and post-merger analysis
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Actively working towards a professional accounting designation (Chartered Professional Accountant)
- Minimum 2-3 years of directly related work experience in accounting, financial analysis or audit role
- Strong ability to use MS Office applications, advanced Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large quantities of financial and statistical data
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset
