WHAT'S THE JOB?
As a Periodic Custodian, you will be responsible for completing scheduled periodic work, maintaining equipment and assisting with cleaning during absences. This position is Evening shift Wed-Fri and days Sat and Sun. Approx. 37.5 hours per week. This requires travelling between Port Hope and Pickering for a variety of scheduled tasks a vehicle and fuel is provided.
Your work will include:
- Scrub and degrease floors
- Auto-scrubbing floors
- Spray buffing resilient floors
- Stripping and waxing floors
- Full carpet and spot extraction
- Power washing and cleaning showers
- Maintaining the vacuums and equipment
- Interior and exterior window cleaning
- Removal of exterior debris i.e. cobwebs
- Cleaning light fixtures and fans
- Cleaning when required which includes, sanitizing washrooms, dusting, vacuuming, dust mopping, sweeping, cleaning and refilling consumable dispensers. Cleaning and polishing surfaces.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- A great attitude!
- Floor care experience required (able to scrub, buff and polish floors)
- Able to operate cleaning equipment and machine
- Ability to repair small equipment and troubleshoot using a guide
- Able to communicate with supervisor, Client and general public
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
- Must have lived in Canada for 5 years and pass client security screening
