Reporting to the Director of Supply Management, your main responsibility will be to purchase goods for stores and distribution centers (DC) to support the inventory related activities of those entities. You will ensure the quality of the products as well their on-time arrival.

In this key role, you will:

Communication with suppliers and internal customer service

  • Ensure good communication with store managers, distribution centers, operations, product management and suppliers
  • Maintain business relationships with current suppliers to achieve desired service levels
  • Provide good customer service to stores and DCs of the division by ensuring optimal replenishment to meet targeted service level goals

Purchasing

  • Ensure the quick supply and replenishment (regular, seasonal, and promotional needs) for suppliers under their responsibility, considering receiving and storage capacities of stores/DCs

Analysis

  • Analyze data (ex: forecast exceptions, seasonal fluctuations, customer buying habits, etc.);
  • Assess and share with product management low-performing categories
  • Produce various reports for internal clients to explain inventory gaps.

Maintenance

  • Maintain and optimize the parameters of the replenishment system to ensure desired service levels and appropriate inventory turns

Special projects and others

  • Participate in projects to improve the operations of the department and other sectors of the division

Qualifications

To join our team, you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, mathematics, administration, or other relevant fields or a DEC/relevant technical degree combined with 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Bilingual, English and French;
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.
