JOB OVERVIEW

The Events & Education Associate is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly's mission through events and educational programming. This role will be multi-unit for the Toronto area. Reports to the Events & Education Manager.

  • Executes events such as cooking classes, wine tastings, brand partnership events and other activations inside La Scuola, performing tasks such as serving, table set-up, tear-down and check in
  • Supports set-up, execution and tear-down of storewide events
  • Ensures all glassware, cutlery and printed collateral are prepared ahead of each event
  • Supports La Scuola chef and the Events & Education Lead in guest interactions during events
  • Assists with packaging and delivery of product for virtual events
  • Prepares and executes tasting activations on the floor to support product sales and marketing events
  • Supports offsite events and activations as needed
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in restaurant operations, quick-service or events
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • SmartServe certified
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Travel within General Toronto Area required
