WHAT'S THE JOB?
Based in a world class camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 28 days on and 14 days off or 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off, with12 hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site from a pickup point in Edmonton.
The Labourer - Snow Removal, reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, is responsible for assisting with snow removal for various areas in camp. Successful candidates will be required to supply own winter wear for working outside in varying conditions for long periods of time.
This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol, and fit to work testing as a condition of employment.
Your work will include:
- Maintain HNCC camp equipment to the highest possible condition.
- Assist in all tasks related to snow removal.
- General site clean up to ensure a high-level cleanliness of all areas outside the camp.
- Completes activities related to manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45lbs.
- Ensure all camp equipment is in good repair.
- Load and unload materials/supplies as required.
- Complete various maintenance and/or service tasks as required.
- Cleans and stores tools and equipment.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Fall arrest is an asset.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor.
- Able to perform duties in warm, cold, wet, humid or dry climates on a variety of surfaces including, concrete and gravel.
