In this role you will:

  • Provide support to the Senior Category Manager in executing identified action plans and deliverables in order to meet department objectives.
  • provide support to the Accessories and Mattress Merchandising function by executing identified action plans and deliverables as part of the overall Merchandising strategy.
  • Be the key support role to stores in the day-to-day requirements of Merchandising which includes responding to and actioning emails
  • Support in the preparation of information/data for weekly, monthly, and annual meetings
  • As required liaise with Supply Chain to get the complete information required for the Product Supply department to enter the products into systems and stores. Provide support with addition of new products to our line by investigating products as directed.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Sales teams on discontinued schedules and new product roll outs
  • Work with the printing service provider to ensure promotional and regular price tags are accurate and delivered on time to all stores
  • As directed, communicate product launches, details of products, and new initiatives. Execute the delivery of: Packaging, Store Display, Signage, POP materials.
  • Support in the development of product knowledge for all applicable departments.
  • Coordinate with vendors to receive product knowledge, new product forms and spec sheets
  • Obtain and organize all necessary Sales Product Knowledge for all applicable departments and ensure current information is accessible on SharePoint.

Qualifications

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

  • A University/College degree or postgraduate certificate in Merchandising, Business Administration or Logistics, or related field are considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' previous merchandising, purchasing, or operations administrative experience in a retail environment.
  • Previous experience with Storis, Oracle or similar ERP system is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can effectively collaborate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, organization and time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong MS Excel Skills (look ups, formulas, pivot table, etc.)
