Position: General Helper

Unit: Mt. Milligan

Point of Hire Location: bussing available to/from site

Rotation: Flexible Rotation (10 hour shifts)

Wage: $18.87 per hour
Scope

As a member of our Food & Beverage services team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service, while working for Sodexo. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Cleans and maintains dining room area including shelves and floors.
  • Cleans and sets dining room tables and fills beverage, salt, sugar, and other condiment containers.
  • Cleans and maintains supplies for steam and salad tables, such as dishes and utensils.
  • Prepares coffee and cold beverages and may be required to work on steam tables from time to time.
  • Serving guests on the main buffet lines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Competencies

  • Must have experience as a Mess Hall Attendant in a medium/large construction camp or institutional setting.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
  • May be required to work shifts, including split shifts – Days & Nights
  • Must undergo and pass a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.
  • High School Diploma an asset but not required.
  • Must have food safety certificate.
  • Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanor.
