JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Intelligence Specialist is focused on the transformation, visualization, and application of data analytics to support the business. The role will execute data analysis projects and solutions for enabling stakeholders to make data- based decisions. The role will collaborate, communicate, and advise business stakeholders throughout the organization on best courses of action to successfully support and execute projects that drive company performance and initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain scalable data sources that serve as the "source of truth" for the organization, ensuring they can be effectively utilized and repurposed across various business functions.
  • Design and implement dashboards that align with business requirements and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in executing data analytics projects for solutioning business problems, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Support and uphold data governance policies across all departments to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement with the Data Warehouse and related reporting architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years' experience in a business intelligence or data analyst role, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
  • Post-secondary education in Data Analytics, Information Management, Math & Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Certificates or diplomas in the data & analytics fields are also to be considered.
  • Knowledgeable of data warehouse structures and writing SQL code to query relational databases.
  • Proficient with data visualization software and best practices, Tableau preferred.
  • Ability to utilize data analysis, modeling, and profiling and corresponding software, preferably Alteryx.
  • Confident communicating clearly and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience translating business problems to data solutions to enable data driven decision making.
  • Comfortable creating improvement solutions and ideas to resolve business problems.
