RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manufacturing Execution Systems Leader and the Manufacturing Systems Integration Leader are key members of the Irving Consumer Products Operation Team and will play a critical role working with our operations teams across all sites, lead cross-functional teams, managing vendors, analyzing and documenting project/enhancement requirements, managing risks, ensuring quality assurance, engaging with stakeholders, managing project resources, reporting progress, facilitation and change management, and promoting and supporting continuous improvement.
- Project Planning and Management: Developing project plans, defining project scope, creating schedules, and allocating resources to ensure the successful execution of software development projects.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Leading and motivating cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Requirement Analysis and Documentation: Gathering and analyzing project requirements, documenting functional and non-functional specifications, and ensuring that requirements are clearly understood by the development team.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and proactively managing issues to ensure project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Quality Assurance: Overseeing quality assurance processes, conducting reviews, and ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with stakeholders, vendors, and end-users to gather feedback, manage expectations, and ensure that project deliverables align with business objectives.
- Resource Management: Allocating and managing project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to optimize project performance and deliverables.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generating project status reports, maintaining project documentation, and providing regular updates to stakeholders and management on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Change Management: Managing change requests, assessing their impact on project scope, schedule, and resources, and facilitating change control processes to ensure project alignment with business needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and development within the project team.
- Manage vendors
- Working as an influencer & evangelist for system adoption and developing system Community
- Developing systems roadmap and vision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or related field.
- Proven experience leading software upgrade projects, preferably in a business or enterprise environment
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to navigate complex project challenges in a timely way.
- Solid understanding of change management principles and extensive experience in driving organizational change.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices
- Experience with change management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of SQL and other programing languages is a plus.
- Previous experience working with ITOP, RTDuet, PARCview and AVEVA PI is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
