Central NB Woodlands is seeking a Silviculture Assistant
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Central New Brunswick Woodlands Division is looking to hire an energetic and motivated student to join our Silviculture Team in Central New Brunswick. You will be responsible for supervising various silviculture treatments and ensuring that quality measures are met. Treatments include mechanical site prep, planting, plantation cleaning and mechanical thinning. The work term is from May - September, with the possibility of extension into November.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrollment in a forestry university/college program or a recent graduate of a forestry program
• Ability to conduct field work in both supervised and unsupervised settings
• Valid class 5 drivers license and flexibility to travel when needed
• Ability to work independently, or in a team setting
• Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset
