JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Team Lead Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Administrator must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. The selected candidate should be experienced in accounting and systems concepts, be an analytical thinker, highly motivated, and process excellent communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for analyzing and processing internal and external vendor invoices, which includes applying various tax rules to ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Responsible for responding to and following up on vendor inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
  • Responsible for vendor reconciliations and statement review to ensure accounts are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Responsible for completing and following up on various reporting. Included (but not limited to): Tax Reporting, Duplicate Reporting, Over 90 day Invoice/Credit Reporting, Over 90 day Held Cheque Reporting, Held Invoice/credit Reporting, Credit Balance Reporting, Unprocessed Invoice Reporting, PO's Received Not Invoiced Reporting and CRA Invoice/Credit Reporting.
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing payment registers, ensuring they are accurate and on time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education Required: High School Diploma with a focus on Business or Accounting
  • Years of Experience Required:
  • Knowledge of computer systems; JD Edwards and/or Basware would be considered an asset
  • Self-starter with multi-tasking abilities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated systems aptitude
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
