JOB DESCRIPTION
The Intermediate Accountant will prepare and post journal entries and monitor the general ledger to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and accounting policies. They will also assist with analyzing and communicating the results external and internal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Posts journal entries to accurately maintain the organization's financial records and transactions.
- Works alongside auditors to ensure accurate information is provided in a timely manner.
- Reviews and reconciles accounts on a period basis to ensure the organization's financial information is free of material error.
- Reviews and approves order submissions to ensure the account codes comply with company coding policies.
- Weekly reporting to support business decisions and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation considered an asset or 5+ years of relevant accounting work experience can offset this designation.
- Highly self-motivated, innately curious, and solutions focused.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of Company Financial Processes.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
