JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety

  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed while working within the facility, including and not limited to the operation of heavy equipment (floor scrubber, etc.).
  • Meet the expectations of all Irving Personal Care employees in following site and enterprise-wide policies and procedure
  • Actively promote an autonomous and compassionate safety culture

Quality Assurance Management

  • Collect routine samples from converting lines.
  • Independently perform routine testing of samples using specified test methods.
  • Verify test results obtained to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Make appropriate entries into our systems - i.e.) PARCview, ITOP, calibration/verification records, and any others as required.
  • Recognize and act on abnormal test results; proactively and timely contact Operations Team and Technical/Quality Laboratory Manager to address issues.
  • Participate in round robin interlaboratory testing as required.
  • Conduct random quality audits of finished product and provide coaching to Operators as required.
  • Support development trials and non-routine testing.
  • Support sample request process - i.e.) testing, sample mock-ups, shipping, etc....
  • Support processing of non-conforming product through the sites Hold process with direction from the Technical/Quality Manager or Quality Engineer.
  • Perform quality related equipment calibrations / verifications; troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Perform testing and/or inspection as needed for raw materials.
  • Conduct track and trace backward or forward as required.
  • Support Operator Quality Workmanship Certification Program.

5S

  • Adheres to IPC's 5S program which includes the standards to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety at the facility. In addition, it outlines the audit program including zones, frequencies, and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education Required: College Diploma, science preferred
  • Years of Experience Required:
  • Knowledge of and testing experience in a laboratory environment
