RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager, Sales Finance, the successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail. This individual will be an independent and assertive person, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and who is passionate about achieving results and driving improvement.
The Financial Analyst will be a key business partner to our sales team who will be responsible for evaluating new sales opportunities through the completion of Profit and Loss Analysis (P&L's). In addition, they will provide financial analysis on existing business to optimize profitability with the goal of achieving sustainable, profitable growth.
- Responsible for completing Profit & Loss Analysis for new sales opportunities and existing business in a timely manner to evaluate and analyze the opportunity and/or the current state of business.
- Provide financial guidance to optimize account profitability.
- Lead monthly account reviews to ensure delivery of financial targets are achieved.
- Partner with Finance and Sales to design and implement digital finance solutions and process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, Business (Commerce), or Accounting;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- Knowledge and understanding of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is an asset;
- Experience collaborating with Sales Representatives is an advantage;
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, or Power Bi is a plus;
- Strong analytic skills with a keen attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure;
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
