JOB DESCRIPTION
The Central New Brunswick Operations team is looking to fill a Regional Road Supervisor position. This person will be responsible to lead a team of staff and contractors to construct logging roads, watercourse crossing, strategic improvement projects and maintain a large off-road network for the purpose of transporting raw wood materials to our mills efficiently. This highly motivated person will also be responsible for preparing annual budgets, project planning and achieving cost targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for health and safety on road operations.
  • Engaging and training new road contractors and staff.
  • Finding solutions to cost and quality variances.
  • Preparing project plans and cost projections.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University or technical college degree in related field. Other degrees programs may be considered.
  • Experience in the field of forest management will be considered an asset.
  • Supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills and comfortable with modern technologies.
  • Fast learning speed.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to implement change.
  • Have an eye for the quality of the work and possess an elevated level of detail.
  • Be organized, autonomous, have people skills and a sense of initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple files at once.
  • Be able to work in a team.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment with tight deadlines.
