Midland Brokerage is currently seeking a Carrier Relations Coordinator to be based in Montreal, QC, and/or at our Head Office in Dieppe, NB, and/or Toronto, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing key carrier relationships that align with our compliance standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather lane detail characteristics and historical information to provide Procurement.
- Maintain bid information and final results for contract and routing guide updates (Bid completion and implementation).
- Optimize Carrier Compliance Management (Four Kites, Insurance limit increases, Fine recovery).
- Monitor route guides and carrier capacity and rate adherence to awarded business.
- Work with Midland claims and carriers to resolve disputed/non-responsive claims in timely manner.
- Prospect new carrier opportunities understanding how they'll fit current network and seek out new capacity as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Required: University Degree in a related field
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of related experience, preferably in transportation industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to negotiate, motivate and influence others
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset.
