RESPONSIBILITIES
The Northern New Brunswick Forestry Operations Division is looking to fill Silviculture Quality Control positions for the summer of 2025 (early May to August) with a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Perform quality assessments in tree planting operations
• Correct quality outcomes, as appropriate and share their observations with the rest of the team.
• Exceed daily production and quality target
• Follow best management practices in silviculture
• Adhere to and promote safety procedures and safe work practices
Working Environment:
• Outdoors in all weathers and elements (rain, heat, insects, etc.)
• Team-based environment
• Ability to adapt to unforeseen situations
• Days of work: Monday to Friday
• Duration of season: Early May to August
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in forestry is considered an asset
• Class 5 driver's license
• Physically able to walk, for long periods of time, on uneven wooded terrain
• Positive attitude and ability to motivate peers
• Be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Be able to work in a team and in a safe manner
• Bilingualism considered an asset
• Meet JDI's selection criteria
