RESPONSIBILITIES
The Forestry Operations Division is looking to fill a Block Planner position with a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Field planning of blocks and roads
• Detailed description of the blocks before harvest
• Correction and modification of data collected in the field
• Plan the most efficient and productive harvesting operations while following management plans and rigorously adhering to the company's environmental rules and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Have a university degree in forestry, forestry technology or equivalent training in a related field
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Excellent computer skills and comfortable with new technologies
• Working knowledge of GPS and GIS devices would be an asset
• Experience in forest harvesting planning would be an asset
• Fast learning speed
• Excellent communication skills
• Have a focus on the quality of work and a high level of detail
• Be organized, autonomous, have a sense of initiative
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a tight deadline
