JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Health & Safety Administrator to join our team. This position reports to the Director, Governance and supports Health and Safety within the division including Irving Pulp & Paper, Irving Tissue, Lake Utopia Paper and Irving Paper.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of Safety Management System
• Review investigations and corrective actions to identify trends
• Administrator for various programs including ISN and Intelex
• Trainer for various safety related programs
• Audit programs to ensure compliance to the standards
• Participate in safety initiatives
• Assist in incident investigations
QUALIFICATIONS
• Education Required: Trade Certification or Associate's Degree
• Diploma in Occupational Heath Safety and Environmental processes or equivalent would be considered an asset
• Years of Experience Required: 2-5 years related work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve and work as an influencer within a team environment
• Strong process improvement and change management mindset
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge in Intelex would be considered an asset
• Investigation Training would be considered an asset
