JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting both sales and operations, providing a variety of work throughout the summer. This could include acting as a liaison between the customers, visiting growers, and supporting production. This is a summer position that is ideal for a student studying agriculture. The position starts in April and finishes the end of August.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with deliveries of agricultural products
- Supporting sales staff with customer visits and requests
- Field work such as soil sampling, tissue sampling and crop scouting
- Facilitate on-farm research trials with various products.
- Day to day office duties and administrative responsibilities.
- Support production including assisting with customer orders.
- Cultivate positive relationships with customers in the farming community
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education in plant science or agriculture
- Must have valid driver's license
- Experience in a farming environment is an asset
- Experience in customer service or sales is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
