Midland Transport is currently seeking a Facilities Manager to be based at our Head Office in Dieppe, NB. The selected candidate will be managing the facilities owned, rented, and leased across Midland terminal and maintenance networks to ensure they are safe and well maintained to meet the Irving standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with terminal managers and corporate engineering to develop yearly budgets and project lists;
- Manage leased facility contracts working with corporate team and work with operations to optimize asset building locations;
- Control and forecast yearly and period by period building and yard maintenance facility spend;
- Oversee all renovations, refurbishments and building projects by coordinating projects with terminal managers and corporate engineers as well as develop and maintain terminal standards lists;
- Develop routine preventative and corrective maintenance lists for work to be completed in winter/spring/summer/fall (Cleaning, painting, HVAC maintenance, pump station maintenance, etc.);
- Develop and maintain approved contractors list (Competencies, workers compensation paperwork up to date, etc.);
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects and carry out new innovative ways to improve facility costs and waste;
- Ensure facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Required: University degree in a related field;
- 5 years of work related experience;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent people management skills mentoring, coaching and leadership skill;
- Knowledge of the Transportation industry an asset.
