JOB DESCRIPTION
The Material Management Specialist is integral in the success of daily operations relating to the movement and management of material. The Material Management Specialist expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities. They also oversee the tracking of materials, generate reports, and manage inventory to ensure that production runs smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures timely, safe, and efficient dispatch of the right equipment for material moves.
  • Monitor and coordinate material delivery schedules and ensure all logistics activities are completed in accordance with production dates.
  • Organization and improvement of material flow in storage and delivery areas.
  • Prepare and generate reports through data compiled from the data warehouse; and support KPIs in coordination with the Manager, Internal Logistics.
  • Maintain inventory and cycle counting of raw materials and fabricates.
  • Resolve logistics issues within their assigned area.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge - education, certificates, licenses, registration, and knowledge required
    • University Degree in related field
  • Technical Skills - required skills to apply knowledge
    • Proficient to expert knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access, and Adobe Acrobat, with a strong aptitude for learning new software
    • 2-5 Years Materials Management experience
    • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Social Process Skills - required skills for effective working relationships
    • Ability to multi-task work under pressure in a fast-paced industrial environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Experience working in unionized environment
