JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a student with a background in Agronomy or Environmental Biology to assist with research and fieldwork related to potato cultivation and raw material procurement. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in the field of potato farming and enhance your understanding of sustainable practices in agriculture.
Hourly wage: $19.50 - $21.15/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in field data collection and analysis related to potato crop performance, soil health, and environmental impact.
- Support the Raw Procurement team in evaluating potato quality and sourcing raw materials.
- Participate in the development and implementation of sustainable farming practices to improve yield and reduce environmental impact.
- Help with laboratory analyses, including soil and water testing specific to potato farming.
- Collaborate with team members on project documentation, reporting, and supplier assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a degree in Agronomy, Environmental Biology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sustainable agriculture and environmental science.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
