JOB DESCRIPTION
Join our dynamic team as an Operations Supervisor, where you'll lead and manage all aspects of pile driving operations on diverse construction sites. Be part of a company that prioritizes safety, innovation, and excellence in every project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision and Management:
• Lead and supervise a team of crane operators, riggers, laborers, and subcontractors.
• Plan and schedule activities to align with project timelines.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Technical Oversight:
• Interpret project plans, blueprints, and job specifications.
• Oversee the setup and operation of equipment and machinery.
• Monitor operations to ensure quality and accuracy, providing feedback for bids and proposals.
Quality Control:
• Facilitate inspections and tests to ensure quality and integrity.
• Document progress, deviations, and ensure compliance with project standards.
Safety and Compliance:
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and inspections.
• Train team members on safety standards and maintain incident documentation.
Coordination and Communication:
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery of services.
• Compose quotes, determine pricing, and actively pursue new business opportunities.
Innovation:
• Identify and implement process improvements and new technologies to enhance efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
• Red Seal Crane Operator
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry with crane and heavy haul experience.
Skills and Certifications:
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Flexibility to travel across Atlantic Canada, with occasional weekend and on-call work.
