JOB DESCRIPTION

This will be a contracted termed role for up-to 20 months. The role will start in early 2025 and is expected to conclude by September 2026.
In this role, you will work within our Head Office HR Team and will execute activities related to the full employee lifecycle as well as participating in divisional improvement initiatives. Responsibilities also include coordinating activities related to data governance and our HR Information System (Oracle HCM).
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who likes problem solving, is driven to identify continuous improvement opportunities and enjoys a challenge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Post-secondary education in related field is preferred
  • 2+ years' experience sourcing talent and building candidate pipelines using various channels including social media, online databases, and events/networking is preferred
  • Demonstrated capability to work on multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency to execute and deliver results
  • Creative, curious, and demonstrates the proven ability to bring forward new solutions to complex business challenges
  • Service-oriented with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • HR certification would be considered an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Support the execution of Human Resources' programs and policies in support of the people strategy, performance management, training and development, employee relations, recognition, and engagement
  • Assist with divisional HR improvement projects
  • Power user for SharePoint and HCM (including reporting, transactions, and MyLearn). Own and maintain Convergence, the divisional learning management system
  • Full-cycle recruitment, including attracting and sourcing candidates, screening, and interviews, and working closely with Hiring Managers on candidate suitability.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs, community events, educational institutions, and other recruitment events.
  • Assist hiring managers with the employee onboarding process
  • Data integrity management, training, and communication for the HR Information System (HCM) users.
  • Compile recruitment data and prepare reports as required
  • Periodic reporting for management on employee lifecycle changes and activities.
  • Act as a key contact for the HR and Head Office teams, receiving inquiries and requests and troubleshooting to find a solution.
