RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that supports both individual and team growth.
- Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs that meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of projects.
- Design Innovation: Drive innovative engineering solutions that meet current and future building needs while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high engineering standards, ensuring all work meets Kent Homes' strict quality requirements.
- Mentorship & Career Development: Provide guidance, support, and growth opportunities for junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for improving engineering processes, enhancing productivity, and delivering better design outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
What We're Looking For:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Experience in construction, manufacturing, or modular home building is a strong asset.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams, make decisions, and navigate the challenges of complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in engineering design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or BIM, as well as solid knowledge of construction standards and codes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to approach challenges creatively and effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clear, concise, and effective collaboration.
