JOB DESCRIPTION
Sunbury Transport is a premier transportation company, specializing in US and Canadian cross-border shipments as well as domestic Canadian shipments, offering logistics services and managing freight via truckload van, flatbed, bulk wood fiber and container service. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as the Shift Dispatch Team Leader. The Shift Dispatch Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch team, ensuring efficient coordination of truck drivers, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and lead a team of dispatchers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
• Primary work schedule will be days, however, successful candidate must be flexible with work hours to accommodate all shifts
• Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of truck drivers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods
• Monitor driver performance and compliance with company policies and regulations
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize operational processes and improve overall efficiency
• Prepare and analyze reports on key performance indicators and operational metrics

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations (experience working in the logistics and transportation industry considered an asset)
• Post-secondary degree in related field of study (e.g. Business Management) considered a strong asset
• Daily Management experience an asset
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick, effective decisions
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
• Proficiency in dispatch software and computer systems
