JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Analyst Student will support the Operational Process Networks and Systems for Cavendish Farms Lethbridge.
A work term at Cavendish Farms as a Business Analyst Student will provide you with an experience that will stretch your abilities, build your curiosity, and grow your resume. Focusing on the goal of adding value through information technology, you will learn how to ask the right questions, build professional relationships, and drive solutions. You will be exposed to technical and business processes across various functional groups throughout different lines of businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Get experience in translating business problems and opportunities into technical solutions through working in a team environment acting as the liaison between the business and development
- Exposure to various business areas and their respective responsibilities, processes, etc.
- Job shadowing opportunities and establishment of mentor relationships
- Successful application of business analyst tools, such as business process mapping, project charters, requirement gathering, etc.
- Adhere to IT and OT policies created for the operation.
- Support for upgrades for IT and OT systems.
- Support for new product and technology introductions to the plant.
- Attend training for new equipment, trouble shooting, replacement of IT and OT equipment.
- Enable or troubleshoot on floor user access.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in an accredited university co-op program, business or computer science preferred
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Desire to problem solve and work with others to map out processes to pinpoint improvements
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication
- Curiosity, drive for excellence and deep interest in technology
