JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Technical Analyst to join our team to support our Pulp & Paper division. If you're a natural leader and motivated by a fast-moving environment this opportunity is truly once in a lifetime. As a Technical Analyst, customer service excellence will be top of mind. In this agile and collaborative position, you will support and enable various locations within NB, mobilizing associates with technology. This tight knit team is looking for a self-starter who thrives on change and is comfortable with a wide range of technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day support to end users, specifically related to end user computing devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices)
- Resolve technical support issues that cannot be resolved by the Service Desk or requires hands on approach
- Deploy all IT solutions related to end user devices, including J.D. Irving Ltd. site
- Set up and deployment of new end user technologies including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, VoIP telephony, network equipment, server migrations, and satellite technology and software applications
- Analyze, document, and escalate critical issues to appropriate support groups
- Monitor and ensure timely escalation of customer issues to internal organizations and/or vendors
- Perform preventative maintenance and install upgrades and options
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in a related technical field
- 3+ years' experience in a customer facing technical position
- Customer service mindset with a high level of attention on delivering a quality service
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel as required
- Physical ability to complete setups and deployment of computer equipment
- Experience with the following technologies: Windows 10, Microsoft 365, Microsoft SCCM, DHCP, DNS, WIFI
- Basic networking skills both wireless and end point switching (Cisco, Juniper) and client remote access
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent and customer focused communication skills while building a professional relationship with end users
- A continuous learner: acquiring new skills and software applications is second nature
- A practiced communicator with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
