We are currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Foreman to join our team.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our maintenance shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a team of technicians, ensuring equipment is maintained in optimal working condition, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics and the ability to manage people and processes effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance shop, including scheduling and prioritizing repair and maintenance work for heavy equipment.
  • Lead a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and best practices.
  • Oversee diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, loaders, and trucks.
  • Monitor and enforce safety compliance, ensuring all team members follow OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work completed.
  • Ensure efficient parts inventory management and procurement to avoid delays in equipment repairs.
  • Analyze and report on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and repair trends to management.
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure equipment availability and readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy equipment.
  • Red Seal Truck and Trailer Mechanic or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Mechanic is preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high performance and efficient work practices.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
