JOB DESCRIPTION
A Co-op Student in the Build Strategy team will work to develop, maintain, expand, and refine the Build Strategy and associated analyses and evidence.
The Build Strategy is a key source of information to align Irving Shipbuilding Inc (ISI) functions, sub-contractors, and customers on the approach for the construction of ships at Irving Shipbuilding.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Investigate and resolve potential issues to construction
• Perform capacity planning using simulation software for key work centers
• Document all required aspects of the Build Strategy
• Produce and contribute to the creation of the RCD Build Schedule
• Collaborate with multiple ISI functional teams to improve and prepare Shipyard processes for RCD production
• Review RCD engineering documentation for application to and requirements for Build

QUALIFICATIONS

• 0-2 Years' Experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, openness to learning
• Skilled in organizing and managing a variety of tasks with varying priorities and ability to work within a team, but also confident to work unsupervised
