JOB DESCRIPTION
Cavendish Farms is currently seeking a Director of Pricing to grow top-line revenue and gross margin dollars by working closely with the Sales team in developing and implementing the company pricing and trade investment strategy. This includes the ongoing development, implementation, and reporting of pricing and program spending, and modelling pricing actions and strategies. As a key member of the Finance team, the Director of Pricing will also have responsibility to provide analytics and recommendations on bids, and profitability enhancement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership to the Pricing team
  • Working with the Sales team, develop trade investment and pricing strategies to ensure they are integrated and effective in driving sales growth and profitability
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on pricing actions and strategy to improve the business
  • Review, approve, and provide insight on all pricing deals, targets, price lists, and pricing models
  • Responsible to review, approve, and assist in preparing Company gross margin forecast and budget
  • Champion process management within the Pricing team while working closely with other departments to meet customer expectations
  • Work with the sales team and other resources to provide market intelligence and risk analysis (gain/loss in potential business)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Business (professional Accounting or Pricing designation would be an asset)
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven leader and strong communicator: Ability to work effectively with various levels of the Company
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic; respect for commitments
  • Strong aptitude with numbers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Results driven, strategic, and analytical thinker
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
