JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fleetway ILS team are creating the maintenance strategies and solutions for the next generation of Royal Canadian Navy Ships. We are respected in the industry through our proven hands-on experience in marine engineering environments. We are looking for electrical, mechanical, industrial and naval architecture engineers and technologists to join the ILS team. If we sound like a team you'd like to be a part of, and make a difference with, then we'd love to hear from you! We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Management Specialist for our Dartmouth, NS office location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and oversee preparation activities prior to the commencement of maintenance execution. Activities such as ensuring ample consumables are available and Special Tools and Test Equipment are in good working condition and certified for use.
- Perform inspections/audits on board vessels and within production areas and warehouses to ensure MCP activities are executed in accordance with the schedule, and assets are being preserved and protected in accordance with MCP requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders for maintenance execution. Liaise with sub-contractors to achieve agreed outcomes within their delegated authorities and responsibilities. Mitigate schedule conflicts and non-conformances with management and contractors.
- Use the Maintenance Management Software System (MMSS) to input information such as requesting deviations, deferrals, and ensuring all maintenance routines are recorded accurately. Provide guidance to maintenance teams in the application of the MMSS.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Engineering Technology (or similar) or equivalent Royal Canadian Navy experience.
- A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
- 5+ years' experience in the application of maintenance activities and quality control.
