JOB DESCRIPTION
We currently have an opportunity for a Locomotive Mechaniclocated in Saint John, New Brunswick.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance and repair of Locomotives. Key functions include: troubleshooting, repair, assembly, preventative maintenance; reading blue prints, sketches and schematics
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a broad range of locomotive models and their mechanical, electrical, diesel and air brake systems
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on locomotives and other shop equipment as required
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are required
• 5 to 10 years' experience in a heavy industrial environment is preferred
• Prepare necessary paperwork and documentation as required
• Follow all regulatory and company policies while performing job functions in a safe and efficient manor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Red Seal Qualified, experienced Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, Heavy Equipment Mechanic and/or Diesel Mechanic is preferred
• Must have a proven Safety Record and possess a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Must be flexible to travel, work nights, weekends and be on-call for emergencies
• Must be highly motivated, energetic and work well with others in a team environment .
