JOB DESCRIPTION
We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Papermill for an Operations Team Leader located in Saint John, New Brunswick.
As a member of our dynamic team, you will have an opportunity to dive in and experience work in the Pulp and Paper industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for day-to-day operation of the Thermal Mechanical Pulping Department and supervision of unionized employees
• Leadership in safety and environmental awareness
• Coordination of day-to-day operations of wood chip supply, steam production, and maintaining pulp supply to the paper machines
• Work with various departments throughout the mill to ensure production and quality targets are met
• Administration of the collective agreement(s), input and approval of daily time entries, and identification of areas for improvement within your area(s) of responsibility.
• Supporting the development of an engaged workforce with a focus on continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or 2-year completed diploma in a related field
• Pulp & Paper Industry related experience is an asset
• Supervisory experience in an industrial environment is an asset
• Familiar with computerized operations and administrative systems
• Shift experience working in a 24/7 operation
• Willing to work a combination of day and shift work in a safety conscious, fast paced manufacturing plant
