The ideal candidate will be involved in supporting the CVRC staff with a variety of activities & special events that foster wellness and community engagement as well as other office duties. Prior experience in planning and/or organizing activities is an asset, however we are happy to support new candidates who are looking to pursue their future career goal in the area of Human Services. Some of the activities you could be involved in include:

  • Collaborate with CVRC staff in implementing various activities with a focus on meeting the needs of the individuals who use our services.
  • Participate in scheduled activities & events.
  • Assisting with established events (Healthy Breakfast, CVRC Clothing Room, Bingo), as well as creating new events.
  • Support the CVRC staff by performing general office duties.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with residents.

Position located at Crescent Valley Resource Centre, 130 MacLaren Blvd. Saint John. Mon - Fri., 35 hrs per week @ $16.50 per hr.

A candidate (student) must:

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;

  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
