Summer Student - Mechanical Engineer

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Currently, we have an opening for a Summer Student - Mechanical Engineer. This is a student position for the summer of 2025. In this role, the Summer Student will focus on supporting a variety of different tasks for the Engineering team.

Please note that student positions are offered on a full time or part time contract basis for a maximum of 90 days.

What You Will Be Doing

• Providing Mechanical Engineering support for various activities including AutoCAD and SolidWorks modeling, drafting, and technical investigations.
• Engineering Bill of Material (BOM) data processing.
• Engaging in small scale Mechanical Engineering design projects.
• Providing Mechanical Engineering support for Sales, Production, and Technical Services.

What you will bring along

• Working towards completion of post-secondary education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is considered an asset.
• Computer skills and experience with Microsoft software and Office suite.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative.
