Fernie Alpine Resort is looking to fill the position of Lift Operator. Reporting to the Lift Operations Supervisor, the ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and enjoy working in an outdoor mountain environment. You Will:

• Ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• Assist and upsell guests at every opportunity
• Ensure public and personal safety on lifts
• Offer the highest degree of guest service
• Responsible for loading and unloading mountain bikes and offer assistance to passengers
• Inspect and scan passenger lift tickets
• Assist in maintaining biking and hiking trails
• Have a high degree of lift knowledge to be able to operate a designated lift with confidence
• Carry out MODULA (Maintain, Operate, Design, Unload, Load, Areas)
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
• Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

• A commitment to being punctual & reliable
• The physical capability to undertake heavy labor with a passion for working outdoors
• Mountain bike skills (an asset)
