Department: Environmental Remediation Management (ERM) Program Management

Duration: 4 months (May-August)
Field of Study: Successful completion of secondary school (Grade 12) with experience in a related discipline (e.g. Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration, Office Administration) is preferred. Candidates need to be currently enrolled in a program to be considered for this position.
Year of study: 2nd, 3rd, 4th year of studies or higher
What you will be doing:
- Compiling, forecasting, analyzing, investigating, and reconciling moderately complex results and implementing recommendations for developing solutions, enabling results, and organization success.
- Generating, maintaining, sharing, and organizing material while coordinating improvements to moderately complex processes.
- Preparing, issuing, retrieving records and documents.
- Providing support, as required, to other managerial staff within the ERM Program Office.
- Assisting in the development of the annual plan, long-term strategic plan, and funding request administered by the ERM Program Office.
- Providing support by reviewing documents at a high level against quality checklists.
- Serving as a facilitator for accelerated collection of data, provide inputs for SharePoint implementation.
- Tracking and updating actions, trackers, and follow up items.
- Providing coordination and scheduling support for meetings and take meeting minutes.
- Performing general administrative duties, supporting the various areas within the ERM Program Office.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education/ Experience
- Successful completion of secondary school (Grade 12) with experience in a related discipline (e.g. Business Administration, Commerce, or Project Management) is preferred. Candidates need to be currently enrolled in a program to be considered for this position.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the correct usage, spelling and punctuations of English and experience in editing, reviewing, and handling large documents.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) for creation of basic Word documents, formatting procedures, exporting and running reports, preparing presentations and corresponding using e-mail.
- Knowledge of office equipment such as printers, fax machines, photocopiers, and scanners.
- Ability to work independently with access to guidance to assist with establishing priorities.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status, which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."
