At our plant in beautiful Campbell River, British Columbia, our talented team of 30 full-time staff specializes in designing and building custom aluminum boats. Well represented across the globe, our company is proud to have built over 800 aluminum quality vessels ranging frompleasure crafts to commercial work boats.
Job DescriptionMultiple openings due to company expansion
Signing bonus available for applicants, dependent on experience
What will you do?
- MIG/TIG aluminum welding and hull construction;
- Fabrication includes fitting of pre-cut parts;
- Preparation of components for welding ;
- Sub-assembly of parts including welding;
- Ensure work area is kept clean and organized to reduce or remove hazards;
- Follow all applicable Eaglecraft Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
What do you need to succeed?
- Proficient in MIG (Push-Pull) welding;
- 2-3years previous experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum products;
- Ability to safely operate saws, grinders, drills, and other power tools;
- High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards;
- Ability to read blue prints/ drawings and understand work order specifications preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward;
- Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort, high noise levels;
- Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed;
- Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists.
