This is what you will do:

Join us as an Associate Director R&D Governance Operations, where you will work collaboratively across all functional areas at Alexion AstraZeneca Rare Disease with partners, project teams and technical support members to deliver high-quality results. This is an exciting role with exposure to key pipeline decisions made by leaders at the highest level of the organization. You should expect a team-oriented, exciting, challenging, and fast-paced environment that demands attention-to-detail, high professionalism, swift action and occasionally irregular hours. Principally the role will focus on the management of senior management governance meetings, official meeting documentation (inclusive of project governance contracts), close liaising with R&D program teams, and the generation, implementation, and monitoring of governance standards.

You will be responsible for:

You will be accountable for the end-to-end management of governance meeting scheduling, set-up, execution and closure. You will manage the collation and storage of meeting materials ensuring consistency in document format, file naming conventions and archives. You will also be responsible for the stewardship of governance data, information and records; driving compliance with company policies, clear standards and the security of governance information. Additionally, you will lead governance best practices/excellence initiatives under the direction of the Governance Operations Lead.

You will need to have:

  • BA/BS university degree or equivalent in business and/or science
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in the biopharma industry or equivalent.
  • Excellent communicator; able to influence a broad range of collaborators including at senior levels in the organisation
  • Proficient skills in software applications such as SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerPoint, Excel etc. and interest to learn new technologies and desire to stay on top of the latest in technology.
  • A high degree of organization, attention-to-detail, stakeholder management, the ability to influence, and recognition that strict confidentiality is expected in maintaining company information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise messages
  • Direct experience supporting drug development teams and ability to run multiple projects and tasks efficiently and independently without day to day direction; identifying high priority and urgent tasks for immediate action so that all activities are completed accurately and on time
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business demands
  • Proven track record of bringing ideas to action
  • Capable of working collaboratively and effectively with various levels across the organization with complex/geographical context
  • Strong project coordination/management experience / significant experience in administrative management with senior leaders
  • Experience working with executive/senior leaders and within a global environment.
  • Able to prioritize own workload, organized, self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
  • Experience working in project and/or change management

We would prefer for you to have:

  • PMP certification
