CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Academic Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary The Faculty of Education at the University of Regina is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor in Trauma-Informed Education for a full-time, tenure-track position appointment with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2024. The University of Regina is situated on Treaty 4 lands with a presence in Treaty 6. These are the territories of the nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation. Position Requirements The successful individual will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in trauma-informed education and in curriculum and pedagogy, assuming active involvement in the elementary or secondary program group, supervising graduate students, supervising undergraduate students in field experiences, and working on faculty committees. They will assume active involvement in collegial governance and engage in individual and collaborative scholarly research. Qualifications:The candidate will possess a Ph.D. degree with a clearly articulated and active program of research or scholarship in trauma-informed education, eligibility for a teaching certificate and successful teaching experience in both K-12 environments and university settings. Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Assistant Professor Salary Range Depending on qualifications and experience, normally in the Assistant Professor range ($89,914 - $113,562) as per URFA Collective Agreement.
