Position Summary:Driven by purpose, values, innovation, and a commitment to building a future we can all trust, the Cyber Digital Solutions (CDS) North America (NORAM) business line seeks to bring cybersecurity globally to mission-critical systems.
Reporting to the Director CDS NORAM business line, Thales requires a Director Business Development CDS NORAM. As Director Business Development, you will oversee all aspects of business development, capture, sales, and post-sales activities. A strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales and business development management, you will proactively analyze market trends, stakeholder positioning, and other integrated Thales business lines to develop and maintain a qualified business development pipeline and oversee the capture strategy, ultimately creating winning bids and proposals, driving growth, and satisfying customer expectations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:- Develop and maintain the CDS NORAM sales strategy and business development pipeline
- Lead the CDS NORAM sales team in the execution of the sales strategy
- Analyze market trends, stakeholder, competitor, and customer positioning with a view to identify growth opportunities and partnership opportunities
- Oversee the end-to-end bid process, from prospect identification to the submission of informed, winnable proposals, aligned with strategic objectives and CDS NORAM business targets
- Prepare and present compelling proposals to meet customer expectations
- Produce business reports to include sales forecasts, operating reports, and performance reviews
Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (business, leadership) or an equivalent level of experience.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in sales within the cybersecurity or technology industry and a proven track record of success. 3 years leading sales teams.
Skills: Demonstrated understanding of the cybersecurity market, with an ability to communicate and simplify complex technical concepts to a larger audience. Previous experience in sales funnel management, forecasting, and reporting on KPIs. Proven sales experience in global markets.
- Core business hours Monday-Friday; eight-hour work-day
- Access to R&D facilities, cyber-ranges, and Cyber Security Operations Centres
- Travel required in supported of customer requirements and sales opportunities, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Travel expected 25% of the time. Travel will be required to customer locations.
