Job Description
Mission
As an Electrical Engineer in control and protection, you will participate in the design of high-level diagrams, development of the protection philosophy, and contribute to large-scale electrical power projects. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment and develop additional skills through collaborating with seasoned professionals, namely in the framework of hydropower projects (stations) with our client, Hydro-Québec. You will have access to our hybrid work model (office and home), in our Sherbrooke, Granby, Longueuil or Saguenay office.

Primary Responsibilities
- Design control and protection systems using 2D software (AutoCAD) and CAD (E3).
- Prepare project deliverables, including detailed drawings, electrical diagrams, layouts, equipment sizing, etc.
- Collaborate with the engineering team members and project managers from other disciplines.
- Prepare drawings, sketches and calculations based on provided specifications.
- Participate in the development of protection and control electrical systems, including single-line, logical and AC three-wire diagrams, DC protection and control diagrams, wiring and device connection drawings, assembly drawings, material lists and specifications for the manufacturing and on-site installation of control and protection panels.
- Participate in the development of AC/DC power supply systems, including single-line diagrams, AC/DC load calculations, distribution diagrams, connection drawings for chargers, batteries, inverters, etc.
- Participate in site surveys (stations).
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines: instrumentation, civil, mechanical, and building to develop optimized and advanced design solutions for station and plant systems.
- Possibility of occasionally carrying out on-site work (start-up or supervision).
Qualifications
- University degree in electrical engineering
- 0 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of control and protection principles and philosophy (an asset)
- Experience designing electrical systems (an asset)
- Fluency in oral and written French
