As a member of the firm's Management Committee, the Chief Client Officer will work together with the Managing Partner, Business Operations Partner, Talent Partner, and Chief Operating Officer to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and performance across their external-facing business functions. The Chief Client Officer will be directly responsible for the advancement of the firm's Client, Business Development, and Marketing programs, with a focus on innovation and strategic initiatives, practice group industry and client team planning as well as business development coaching for the firm's lawyers. The Chief Client Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and leading strategic firm initiatives and goals that will align to market and industry trends to drive the firm's growth, profitability, and success. Together with the COO, they will lead the annual planning process for the firm across the business and client facing functions and monitor and measure the progress of these plans.
The Chief Client Officer will have direct leadership and be actively involved in the coaching and mentoring of the Business Development and Marketing teams.
The Chief Client Officer will also have oversight and provide leadership to the Legal Talent, Legal Support Services and Legal Project Management teams, which will ensure cross-functional collaboration on client service initiatives.
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Experience in a law firm environment in a senior strategic leadership role.
- Experience in business development, client service, and coaching.
- Experience leading diverse and interdisciplinary teams of legal and business professionals.
- A Business administration degree – considered an asset.
- A Law degree and experience practicing law - strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal). Excellent leadership, coaching and decision-making skills.
- Superior organizational and project management skills
- Tech savviness and a focus on innovation.
- Strong understanding of business operations, financial analysis, and market dynamics.
