Commercial HVAC/R Mechanic - $40-$52/hr - Winnipeg

Are you a 4th year apprentice or a ticketed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic? Do you have 4+ years of commercial installation or service experience on AC/heating units, kitchen equipment, or refrigeration systems? Are you looking for a steady local Monday-to-Friday schedule with some on-call work that includes call-out bonuses? Do you have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support apprentices, and enjoy interacting with commercial customers? If so, I'd love to hear from you!

A local HVAC/R contractor is looking for 4th level apprentice / experienced / or ticketed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic to join their Winnipeg service team!

Permanent Position

Hours: Monday to Friday daytime (with a rotating on-call schedule)

Salary: $40-$52 per hour - range based on experience and certification

Responsibilities

  1. Reviewing and prioritizing client's emergency and scheduled maintenance needs for the day and week
  2. Driving to and interacting with commercial clients located throughout Winnipeg
  3. Performing diagnostics, servicing, and maintaining heating/AC units, kitchen equipment, and refrigeration systems
  4. Ensure maintenance completed is in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications.
  5. Follow compliance with provincial legislation and regulations, as well as company policies surrounding conduct and health and safety.
  6. Accurately complete required paperwork for each job.
  7. Acting as a brand ambassador, dealing with clients in a professional and courteous manner
  8. Mentoring junior technicians, aiding in their professional development and blue book hours
  9. Other duties as required to ensure the proper operation of the business

Qualifications

  • Journeyman/Red Seal in Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics is a strong asset
  • Licensed B Gas Fitter is a strong asset
  • 4+ years of servicing AC/heating units, kitchen equipment, or refrigeration systems in lieu of a ticket would be considered
  • 2+ years of experience installing or servicing grocery store refrigeration equipment, primarily large rack systems would be considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
